Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Make A Royal Cameo At Sundance

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance yesterday at Sundance Film Festival, attending the premiere of Cookie Queens, the new documentary on which they serve as executive producers. And while the Sundance red carpet in snowy Park City has become a surprise source of subversive winter fashion and cosy but cool looks, the royals opted to have a more muted, monochromatic, matching couple style moment.

Meghan and Harry took photos with the documentary’s director Alysa Nahmias and festival director Eugene Hernandez, as well as Sundance’s Amy Redford. Meghan also took a moment to meet the girls featured in the doc.

Cookie Queens is set during Girl Scout Cookie season, following four “tenacious girls” – Ara, Olive, Nikki and Shannon Elizabeth – as they battle to be the top-selling “Cookie Queen”. Sundance programmer Stephanie Owens called it a “sparkling film” that shows us the girls’s “charm and unsuspecting sharp business tactics”. “Think future Supreme Court justices, CEOs and beyond,” she said – a sentiment that reflects the Duchess of Sussex’s own values and advocacy for young girls and women’s empowerment. Meghan and Harry act as exec producers under their Archewell Productions banner.
