Kim Cattrall Ties The Knot At Chelsea Old Town Hall

Samantha Jones has given us several life lessons over the years. From “I love you, but I love me more” to “I’m sick of people with children; they’re everywhere,” the powerhouse PR exec has been guiding girls through the trials and tribulations of love long after Sex and the City wrapped its final season.

But it seems even Samantha’s strong belief in singledom – “Why does everybody have to get married and have kids? It’s so cliché!” – couldn’t sway Kim Cattrall, who tied the knot with Russell Thomas yesterday at Chelsea Old Town Hall. In very un-Samantha style, the star opted for a low-key affair, with a close circle of friends and family there to witness the occasion. Swapping plunging necklines and statement sunglasses for chic Dior tailoring and a Philip Treacy hat, Cattrall looked every inch the elegant bride.

The romance itself reads like a Sex and the City storyline (let’s not get into And Just Like That…) The pair crossed paths when they both appeared on the same episode of Woman’s Hour in 2016. An Instagram DM later, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Styled by legendary costume designer Patricia Field (the woman who put Carrie Bradshaw in that pink tutu), the wedding was a suitably stylish moment for the woman who brought to life one of television’s most unintentionally inspiring characters. She may have swapped the Meatpacking District for the leafy streets of Chelsea, but the spirit of Samantha Jones lives on.
