Olivia Dean Flew Across The World For This Richard Quinn Dress

Have you ever asked yourself the lengths you’d go to for a look? For Olivia Newton-John, it was being sewn into those skin-tight leggings in Grease. For Kim K, it was practically removing ribs for her Marilyn Monroe Met Gala moment. Olivia Dean, meanwhile, will board a long-haul flight for the chance to wear a fantasy dress.

The singer attended the Aria Awards in Sydney on Tuesday night, and joked that she “flew 24 hours” for her princess-worthy gown: a black puffball confection with a white floral embellishment from the Richard Quinn runway. She kept the accessories minimal (less risk of overweight baggage), settling for stacks of Cartier to adorn those exposed shoulders.

She had stayed true to her Brit roots in a much more Gallagher-coded combo earlier in the day, hopping off the flight from London in a Burberry scarf and leather bomber. You can take the girl out of London, etc.

The Spotify Wrapped posts haven’t started yet, but it’s fair to say that 2025 has been the year of Olivia Dean. On top of supporting Sabrina Carpenter on her Short N Sweet tour, the singer earwormed her way into our heads via the rom-com coded “It Isn’t Perfect But It Might Be”, released her second album, The Art of Loving, and is rounding off the year with a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammys: another excuse for a fabulous look, once the jet lag subsides.
