This Is Dakota Johnson’s Workout Routine


Between filming schedules, red-carpet appearances, photo shoots and the general life of an A-lister, it’s a wonder Dakota Johnson has any time to fit in a regular workout routine. But workout she does. From yoga to dancing, sculpting low-impact classes to walking, the star makes time to exercise almost every day of the week.

It’s the mental benefits of staying fit that Johnson really appreciates. “I danced as a child, so I have to exercise every day or I’ll go crazy, she explains. “I’m a very sensitive person, so if I go off track for two days, I feel like I’m dying, which is probably also a problem. I just want to feel good in my body.”

She continues: “I do a lot of yoga and I walk a lot,” she says, citing Tracy Anderson workouts as well as the Sculpt Society, a method that mixes strength training, endurance and dance cardio. “Megan Roup, the founder of the Sculpt Society, is my trainer – she’s the best and kicks my butt.”

The reason she sticks to such a stringent routine is simple: “It just feels better. And, I think as you get older, you also learn how important sleep, nutrition and hydration are, as well. I can see the difference in my skin and how I feel, my energy.”
