Unpacking Meghan Markle’s Pitchside Style
When Meghan Markle made her first public appearance with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games in Toronto back in 2017, her choice of outfit caused a stir – not least because the white button-down shirt she wore, by her friend Misha Nonoo’s brand, was named the Husband shirt. The then actor teamed it with – gasp – ripped jeans by LA-based brand Mother, along with a pair of brown flats by Sarah Flint.
Fast forward to 2025, and it seems that Meghan’s pitchside style has largely remained the same. Attending the World Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays with Harry last night, the Duchess of Sussex once again opted for a crisp white shirt, teamed with a pair of dark-wash skinny jeans by Veronica Beard, a navy sweater slung over her shoulders and black heeled boots by Stuart Weitzman. Meanwhile, Harry wore a white T-shirt, navy blazer, matching chinos and brown desert boots – with the couple sporting matching LA Dodgers caps.
While Meghan may have been in off-duty mode in LA last night, her commitment to the white button-down knows no bounds. Take her surprise appearance at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week, where she wore a luxe take on the everyday staple with a matching shawl and wide-leg trousers – proving the classic white shirt works for every occasion.
