She’s Wearing (Vintage) Valentino, For Crying Out Loud!
If 2025 has taught us anything, it’s that this is Anne Hathaway’s world, and the rest of us are just living in it. Ever since a sequel to the Noughties classic was announced, The Devil Wears Prada fever has been in full swing (complete with somewhat questionable costume choices dissected via around 12 million paparazzi pics). On Tuesday night, at the 2025 WWD Honors in New York last night, Hathaway channelled her inner Runway girl in a tiered Valentino creation that would send her fictional counterpart, Emily Charlton, into a frenzy.
Anne’s vintage red dress hailed from Valentino’s autumn/winter 2003 collection. While what we’ve seen of her on-screen wardrobe has veered into some eccentric territory (there are only so many patchwork Gabriela Hearst maxis and diamanté suits we can ignore), Hathaway’s real-life choices are thankfully more in step with her A-list status.

Almost 25 years after she first won us over as the confused and clumsy Mia Thermopolis, it’s fair to say Hathaway has captivated audiences once more. These days, it’s less about the thick-rimmed glasses and more about impossible to emulate haircuts, rich-person minimalism, and the occasional relatable off-duty moment.
