Kate Middleton Dressed The Part To Meet The Red Roses
January can be a notoriously gloomy time; Arctic temperatures, constant rain, the list goes on. However, there are a few surefire ways to shake the January blues away, as demonstrated this afternoon by the Princess of Wales, who chose crimson tailoring to welcome England’s Red Roses to Windsor Castle. Celebrating the British women’s team’s Rugby World Cup win last year, Catherine hosted the players in her role as patron of the Rugby Football Union, having followed their progress closely throughout the tournament.
Dressed for the occasion, Catherine leaned into one of her most reliable style formulas, opting for a bright red Alexander McQueen suit as a nod to the team’s red and white kit. No stranger to sharp tailoring, she was seen last year in an olive-green power suit, and more recently wore a tried-and-tested burgundy Roland Mouret look while joining Prince William at London’s Charing Cross Hospital.

A committed advocate of royal rewearing, the Princess’s Alexander McQueen ensemble was a familiar sight to eagle-eyed royal watchers, having previously been worn during King Charles’s coronation weekend in 2023. On top of her sustainability credentials, the Princess is well-known for her love of sport, with her role as patron of the Rugby Football Union allowing her sporty side to take the spotlight.
