Kristen Stewart Makes The Ponytail Punk

Boho hair has reigned supreme this year, so it was perhaps inevitable that a counterpoint would eventually emerge. Say hello to the undercut, which is fierce, anything but floaty and decidedly cool. The poster girl? Kristen Stewart, who just showed off hers with a punky ponytail at the Governors Awards 2025.

Stewart walked the red carpet in an ostensibly classic ensemble comprised of a Rodarte gown with lace detailing and matching white heels. The twist? That daring new hairdo. Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel kept the actress’s microbangs super shiny, while allowing longer pieces to fall loose at each side to frame her face. Stewart’s lightly grown-out undercut was exposed by the bouncy high ponytail Abergel positioned high on the star’s crown.
