Victoria Beckham Staged A Mini Spice Girls Reunion

I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want: a Spice Girls reunion. And Victoria Beckham just gave us exactly that. Last night, VB unveiled her new three-part Netflix series, Victoria Beckham, with a premiere that included her former bandmates and reports of a rendition of the legendary 1998 banger, “Stop”.

It was a full circle moment for the woman who has evolved from (respectfully) bug-eyed, big-haired WAG to leading force in the quiet luxury revolution. The new docuseries tracks Victoria’s transformation from “awkward teen” to pop star supreme, and finally to fashion mogul, offering a warts-and-all look at the highs and lows of her life in the spotlight.

A fashion girl from day one, the series sees VB reflect on her early style awakening in the Spice Girls era. “I went to Gucci,” she says. “I’d never owned a designer garment before – and then fashion became everything.” It was mentor Roland Mouret who told her “we have to kill the WAG” as she set about reinventing herself. “I buried those boobs in Baden-Baden,” says Beckham. “I became a simpler, more elegant version of myself.”
