One person who’s nailed the transitional wardrobe? Emma Watson, who was photographed in Paris at the weekend wearing a minidress and boots combo that’s perfect for this time of year. While gingham might be considered more of a summer print, the tailored shape of her Posse blazer dress made it feel more weather-appropriate, particularly when teamed with knee-high leather boots.

Indeed, it seems that the minidress has become something of a staple for Watson, who wore two shift styles while at Venice Film Festival last month: a Gucci monogrammed number and a lime-green Emilia Wickstead design. The actor teamed them both with brown slingback pumps, but the minidresses would work just as well in the colder months if teamed with boots.

Watson’s far from the only fan of this combo: during fashion month, plenty of street-stylers have been embracing shorter hemlines, paired with everything from cowboy boots to buckled pirate-esque designs. It’s a sure sign that you don’t need to pack away that summer mini just yet.
