Taylor Russell Unveils A New Curly Crop In Paris
Today in Paris, Jonathan Anderson unveiled his first womenswear collection as Dior’s creative director, and his famous fans certainly made an effort for his big debut. Greta Lee stepped out with a sleek and slicked-back hairstyle, while Rashida Jones showed off her wavy bohemian curls and choppy, Jane Birkin-worthy fringe.
Then there was Taylor Russell, who arrived dressed in straight-leg, light-wash denim jeans, black pointed heels, a leather blazer over an unbuttoned white shirt and a matching tasselled scarf. The pièce de résistance? A fabulous mini afro.
Russell’s curly tresses were fashioned into a voluminous circle shape, reminiscent of those worn by textured hair icons during the Black power movement in the ’70s, as well as music legend Whitney Houston.
A modern update to the iconic style, Russell’s loose curls at the front elegantly framed her face, drawing attention to her light eyebrows, ghost lashes and cinnamon-brown lipstick.
